Steps to Apply

The application period for the LAFF program is open from October 1, 2019 - January 06, 2020. If you would like to apply to be a fellow starting in Fall 2020, please complete the following steps before January 06, 2019. We advise that applicants begin their applications early to allow adequate time to write essays, obtain undergraduate transcripts, aquire letters of reccomendation, and take the GRE and TOEFL exams. Contact the LAFF Program with any specific questions about the application or admissions process.

  • 1Contact us as soon as possible, and review the MESM admissions information and begin preparing your application materials. 
  • 2Complete the UCSB Graduate Division e-app by January 06, 2020 to apply for admission to the Bren School's MESM degree program.
  • 3Submit a Sustainable Oceans Fellowship cover letter with your UCSB e-app by January 06, 2020.
